Social Services Coat Drive
Subway held a coat collection for the community two weekends in November by giving away a free six inch sub for those who donated coats. After collecting the coats, Coborn's cleaned them free of charge. On December 8th, Coborns and Subway delivered the coats to Morrison County Social Services. Anyonw interested in a gently used coat, can stop by Morrison County Government Center to see what is available and feel free to take one for themselves or for a family member to stay warm this winter. Starry Trek 2017
Morrison County's 2017 Starry Trek was a huge success! Our volunteers took part in a statewide search for a relatively new aquatic invasive species, Starry Stonewort. We are happy to announce that we found no Starry Stonewort in the lakes we searched, and we look forward to participating again next year! Thank you to everyone who volunteered and did their part to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species into Morrison County's lakes and rivers.
Volunteer Driver Opportunity
Volunteer drivers provide rides using their own private vehicles to residents of Benton, Stearns and Morrison counties. Passengers are assigned to volunteers by the Tri-CAP dispatch center and may be traveling to medical appointments or a variety of other destinations. Volunteer drivers are reimbursed at the Federal IRS rate and may also be eligible for some meal reimbursements. Our volunteer drivers provide an important service to those in need in the tri-county area. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Brian Horn @ 320-257-4445 for additional information. http://tricap.org/volunteer/
