Hazardous Household Waste (HHW)
In an effort to encourage responsible and environmentally friendly disposal of toxic waste items, Morrison County operates a Household Hazardous Waste collection program for the residents of the County. From April 15th through September 30th, residents may dispose of Hazardous Household Waste (HHW) free of charge at the Morrison County Solid Waste Management Facility (Morrison County Landfill) located at: 17502 Iris Rd, Little Falls MN, 56345. Unidentified waste, explosives, compressed gas, radio active material, and hazardous waste generated from businesses will not be accepted.
HHW drop off is available during normal landfill hours of operation, however, preferred drop of times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Contact the Landfill Operator at 320-632-1944 for HHW hours.
Examples of HHW: Paints and stains, solvents, rechargeable batteries, pesticides, mercury containing items, cleaning products, chemicals, engine cleaners, used motor oil, etc.
Appliances
Minnesota state law prohibits the landfilling of appliances. Many cities and townships accept appliances at Clean-Up Day events. The Morrison County Solid Waste Management Facility accepts appliances year-round for recycling.

- Furnaces
- Microwaves
- Refrigerators and Freezers
- Stoves
- Washers and Dryers
- Water Heaters and Water Softeners
Automotive Fluids
There are many options for proper disposal of your automotive fluids.

*You may mix power steering fluid, automatic transmission fluid, gear oil and brake fluid with your used oil if you are using the Landfill site.
Do not mix antifreeze with oil!
Electronics Recycling
Electronics are accepted for a fee for recycling at the Facility. Many cities and townships accept electronics at Clean-Up Day events. Acceptable items include:
- Computer Monitors
- Computer Peripherals
- Central Processing Unit (CPUs)
- DVD players and VCRs
- Gaming System
- Printers and Fax Machines
- Stereo and Sound Systems
- Televisions
Fluorescent Light Bulbs
The Morrison County Solid Waste Management Facility accepts these items for a charge.The following Morrison County area businesses accept fluorescent light bulbs only:
