A food and beverage service stand which is used in conjunction with celebrations and special events. The food stand license is valid for three events annually and for no more than ten total days. Any organization wanting to provide a food service stand at a community function, will need to secure a special events license.
For licensed establishments wanting to serve food at a separate location from the physical address of the establishment, a special events license is required.
Application Submission & Safety Training Course
The special events license application must be submitted 14 days prior to the start of the event.
A discount is given to organizations with an individual who has completed an approved food safety training course. A copy of the course certificate must accompany the special events license application.
Requirements
Requirements for a special events food stand include:
- All foods from approved sources
- Dish washing facilities
- Hand washing; either permanent or temporary
- Single service gloves must be used by people with direct contact with ready-to-eat foods
- Waste disposal
- Water source
