Auditor / Treasurer

Shannon was appointed to the Interim Auditor/Treasurer position in June 2023. Typically the Auditor / Treasurer is an elected position and serves a four-year term. The Auditor / Treasurer serves as the chief election official for the county.

The Auditor / Treasurer Department handles the following:

  • Collects assessments and delinquent taxes
  • Computes taxes for real and personal property
  • Manages the County’s investments and checking account
  • Manages forfeiture of property for delinquent taxes
  • Receives real estate tax payments
