Notary Public Commissions are applied for and issued through the Minnesota Secretary of State. Once you receive your Notary Commission, you must file it in your county of residence.
In person - bring your commission certificate.
By mail - sign both signature lines. Sign the first signature line exactly as your name is typed on the notary commission. Sign the second line as how you would normally sign when executing notarial acts.
